Re-opening

So, and I say this with some trepidation, but we are just planning our re-opening!

OK, so that comes with the caveat that, this is all based on the current regulations regarding social distancing and could, at any time, without warning, change.

Assuming it doesn’t, we’ll look to open on a takeaway basis from the beginning of June. Before you get too excited, this will be coffee and cakes for now and we’ll gauge all the aspects involved with opening, to see where and when we develop the offer. Lizzie and I have discussed the possibility of some local delivery of said caffeine and feelgood products and again, as soon as this is set up, we’ll be shouting about it!

Each store will have a re-opening date and it’s likely that they’ll be sequential, starting with Newark, then Stamford, then Oakham.

I’m currently getting window posters organised, to give customers a heads-up as to our new ‘rules’ regarding the safe use of the building, so that everyone knows the basis upon which we are having to operate. And there will be some simple, but effective rules in place, to keep both customers and staff as safe as possible. I’ve worked out a simple workflow for each store and this will be on site, with plenty of signage, to make sure everyone knows what to do and where to do it (ooh, the control).

If you haven’t already, I’d sign up to the mailer, to get specifically crafted email about all this and more. Of course, our social networks will be getting hot again too, so if you don’t get the news one way or another, it may be that you’ve taken the distancing rules a tad too far!

Anyway, that’s the news for now. Keep safe…
