Manne Whole

Sometimes words just shouldn’t go together. Jazz lovers will remember the night club named after Shelley Manne, known as the Manne Hole. Many years on, we would just ever do it. Unless we’re Dan Johnson of course.

Guitarist Dan is the creative force behind this outfit. That’s not to belittle the other band members creativity – it’s just that Dan is significantly more adept at annotating his vision for a tune. Putting down a setlist of jazz, pop, soul and more, this trio re-works popular tunes and jazz standards, with the focus being a combination of having fun, but being very clever about it!

Doing their best to keep up with Dan are Neil Adam Richards (drums) and Mat Short (electric bass).
