She performs at many prestigious venues across the UK, including the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, 606 Club and Pizza Express Jazz Club, Soho. his date sees her joining her good friends The Oxford Jazz Collective who are Maff Potts (keys) and Robert Otwinowski (guitar)

Brothers Si and Maff Potts have been playing music together since they were boys under the watchful eye of their band leading and trumpet playing Dad.

Si is a regular face on the Stray’s jazz circuit, having enjoyed a successful career as a professional drummer with names like Stacy Kent, Jamie Cullum and in both the Maida Vale and Paris studios as a session drummer with the BBC.

Si & Maff met double bass player Steve Kershaw when they joined his 7-piece jump jive band The Honkin’ Hepcats who went on to be regulars at The Edinburgh Festival and Cork Jazz Festival for many years as well as a long running residency at London’s famous 100 Club on Oxford Street.

His biggest influences are Oscar Peterson, Erroll Garner and Dudley Moore. He has a distinctly funky tinge to his playing, exploited to full extent in his own band Trappist Funk (now defunct – or is that de-funked). Oxford-based Maff also plays with sax giant Alan Barnes and pens many originals, some of which will make an appearance for this date.

Part 2 of the OJC is Polish guitarist, Robert Otwinowski. Based just outside Oxford, Robert plays with his own band Otwingroup, penning originals and playing straight ahead as well as experimental ideas.

Holding up the rhythm section are Stray’s regulars Si Potts on drums and Mat Short on bass.
