Dave Harrison [Stamford Corn Exchange] - THURSDAY 23/6/22
Dave Harrison is a London-based musician, author and teacher. He’s written several best-selling books, including a number of popular educational titles and specialises in teaching adults, mainly saxophone, guitar and music theory.
He’s taught at City Lit, London’s largest adult education centre, for over twenty-five years, fitting in the occasional gig in between. Dave headed up a funk band called The Flat Back Four, back in the late nineties, with PRS drummer Si Potts, so it will be a bit like a reunion for them, as well as a jazz gig for the rest of us.
Expect full on jazz, with a funk bias, plus ballads and standards in between.
Stamford Jazz SESSIONS at The Corn Exchange Theatre Lounge.
HOW IT WORKS:
Doors open at 7:30pm with the music starting at 8:00pm. Seats are unallocated, so get in early if you have specific requirements – please note, we always give priority to elderly, single and customers with disabilities.
We want you to have a great night with us! However, one man’s boogie is another man’s dirge, so we operate a minimal talking policy during the performances. We ask you to consider your neighbours in this respect.
The venue has a full bar with wide range of beers, wines and spirits. However, there is not a food option available from the bar. Lastly, from the staff at Stray’s and the house band, we look forward to seeing you and sharing some fabulous jazz with you…
