A-P-othec-A-ry is Andy Tytherleigh (bass), Si Potts (drums) and Andy Metcalf (guitar)

Andy Tytherleigh is a professional upright & electric bass player. He’s been a full time musician for over 20 years and has recorded over 30 albums during that time ranging from jazz to folk to electronica. He’s worked with a vast array of artists including Grammy Nominated Zoe Johnston.

A stalwart of the UK jazz scene, Andy Tytherleigh is called upon by a massive range of bands, to provide the low end, with backgrounds in Classical, Jazz, House Music, Orchestration and Playwriting .

Joining Andy in the rhythm section is our favourite drummer, Si Potts. With too many accolades to mention, Si’s experience ranges from playing with Jamie Cullum in his early days to Stacey Kent and as a session drummer for the BBC. Si is the driving force behind Stray’s house band PRS and is exciting both to watch and listen to.

Guitarist Andy Metcalf has been a musician since 1982 playing both live and in the studio for a wide variety of artists, including session work for Carlton TV, MTV. Add to that appearances with Faithless, The Platters, Hubtone, US drummer Jim Chapin and local hip hop artist Juga-Naut.

Together they’ll be exploring the funkier, groovier side of jazz, blues, funk and hip hop.
